Native American Student Union The Native American Student Union is an affinity group for Indigenous
students at Harriet Tubman Middle School. We come together to
explore identity, culture, and contemporary issues affecting Indigenous
people. We strive to take pride in our identities and ensure that the
voice of Indigenous students will be heard.

WEB WEB stands for Where Everyone Belongs and is a program where responsible 8th graders come together to help 6th graders feel welcome at a new school. The goal is to give 6th graders a community during their first year in middle school through group acitivies, competitions, and chances to connect thorughout the year. Julie Twining jtwining@pps.net
Student Council Student Council is made up of a select group of 8th grade WEB leaders who have shown exceptional leadership qualities during their time at HTMS. These students plan quarterly Phoenix Fun Day celebrations, spirit weeks, dances, and schoolwide fundraisers. They run the students store twice a week, attend monthly PTSA meetings and are also responsible for creating our school's yearbook. Julie Twining jtwining@pps.net
Peacemakers Peacemakers is a hand selected group of students that we identify as leaders at HTMS. The focus is on restorative justice, and social justice topics that affect our community. Students are trained in peer mediation, and we utilize their skills using restorative practices to help keep the peace at HTMS. Andy Harry anharry@pps.net
